When You Arrive

Admitting Process

Upon arrival, please check in at the Admitting desk located on the first floor of the hospital near the Emergency entrance.

The admitting process generally requires answering many questions.  Please understand that this information is very important and we appreciate answers to questions regarding your social security number, correct address, current insurance information and insurance cards.

Patient Wristbands

At registration a patient identification wristbands will be placed on your wrist.  Please do not remove your wristband while you are a patient.  It provides positive identification for all those who take care of you and is required for your protection.  The wristband ensures that all medications, treatments and tests are administered to the correct patients; and hospital staff are instructed to double-check that the name on the patient order matches the name on the patient wristband.

Patients may also receive another wristband at admissions.  A yellow wrist band alerts a fall risk, a red band represents an allergy warning and purple indicates do-no-resuscitate orders.

Tobacco and Smoke-Free

Please note that Twin Rivers is a tobacco and smoke-free facility.  Smoking and tobacco use is not permitted on hospital property.  This policy applies to patients, visitors and employees.
