First Step is an inpatient behavioral health treatment program for adolescents between the ages of of 10-17. Kids admitted to this program are usually experiencing some crisis of have become overwhelmed with personal of family problems, which lead to feelings of tension, anxiety, anger, sadness or frustration.
The adolescent program helps identify problems and develops new, more effective coping and problem solving strategies for stressful situations. First Step is affiliated with Family Counseling Center, Inc. to ensure continued treatment following discharge. Aftercare is also established with alternative referral sources on an individualized basis.
